Coverage across Cheshire
Multi-site organisations in Cheshire, such as councils, housing providers, schools and health providers, can arrange hermetic sliding doors for every building through one contact. Each site gets its own written price and its own record. Smaller customers, from corner shops to private homes, follow exactly the same process. The towns we list here, 13 in all, appear below.

What to think about for hermetic sliding doors in Cheshire
- Choose finishes that stand up to the cleaning regime at your site in Cheshire. Stainless steel and high-pressure laminate cope with strong disinfectants, but check the chemicals your cleaning team uses first.
- Imaging rooms in Cheshire need the lead equivalence confirmed by a radiation protection adviser. The lead lining adds weight, which affects the choice of operator and frame.
- Seals are consumable parts. Budget for regular inspection and replacement in the planned maintenance programme for each theatre or cleanroom, with visit prices agreed in writing.
- Touch-free activation should suit how staff work. Foot switches suit scrubbed theatre staff, wave sensors suit corridors, and card readers suit restricted labs where only trained staff may enter.
- Power, building management and fire alarm links need planning with your electrical contractor. Cable routes into sealed cleanroom ceilings must be agreed early, before the panels are sealed.

Standards and rules in England
BS EN 16005 is the current standard for the safety in use of powered pedestrian doors, and BS 7036-0:2014 is the British code of practice for risk assessment and risk reduction used alongside it. Standards are not law in themselves, but they are the recognised benchmark for showing an automatic door is safe to use, and we set up, test and document doors with reference to them.
In Great Britain a new or converted powered door must meet the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008 before it is first used, and can carry the UKCA or the CE marking. Workplace law (the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992) expects powered doors to have suitable and effective features to stop them trapping anyone and, where needed for safety, to open by hand unless they open automatically if the power fails. Doors at work must also be kept in efficient working order under a suitable system of maintenance.
Glass in and beside doors must be safety glass or protected where people could walk into it, and clear glass needs markings in two bands, 850 mm to 1000 mm and 1400 mm to 1600 mm above the floor (Approved Document K).
How it works
- Send photos and the address. A few pictures of the door from both sides, the address in Cheshire and a note of who uses the entrance help us understand the job before anyone visits the site.
- No-cost survey on site. We arrange a survey at a time that suits the building. The engineer records measurements, fixings and power, plus any constraints such as listed status, opening hours or access for deliveries.
- Itemised quote to approve. We price every element of the work on hermetic sliding doors separately in a written quote that you can check, share and approve. Lead time and payment stages are stated, and nothing is ordered until you accept.
- Fit, test and hand over. On the agreed dates the engineer installs the equipment, commissions the operator and tests each safety function. You get a demonstration, the test record and any conformity paperwork that applies to the work.

Hermetic sliding doors in Cheshire: questions
Is the survey for a hermetic door in Cheshire free?
Yes, for a new hermetic door the survey is free and there is no obligation. We measure the opening, check the wall and floor, discuss seals, finishes, activation and interlocks with your team, then send drawings and a fixed, itemised written quote.
How much should I budget for hermetic sliding doors in Cheshire?
Our guide starts from £8,995 excluding VAT (per door), the same guide price we use across the UK. The free site survey in Cheshire confirms the price as a fixed, itemised written quote, and the guide price tool gives you a range before anyone visits.
Who maintains hermetic doors in Cheshire once fitted?
We can, through planned servicing with each visit priced in writing before an engineer attends. Seals, sensors and interlocks need regular checks, and a trained engineer should test the safety functions at least once a year. Many theatres and cleanrooms schedule more frequent checks as part of their own maintenance programme.
Will the hermetic door in Cheshire link to our building management system?
It can. The operator can send door status to the building management system and receive signals from it, as well as from the fire alarm and access control. The interface is agreed with your controls contractor and shown in the quote, so responsibilities are clear.
Is there a warranty on hermetic sliding doors?
Yes. The warranty terms for the equipment and the installation are set out in your written quote, so you can see exactly what is covered before you accept. Keeping the door serviced at the recommended intervals helps keep it in good order, and the quote explains any conditions that apply to the warranty.
How are payments structured for work in Cheshire?
Payment stages are set out in the quote before you accept it. Larger or made-to-order jobs may involve a deposit and a balance on completion, while smaller jobs may be invoiced once the work is finished. Nothing is charged for the survey itself, and the terms you accept are the terms that apply.
Who is responsible for automatic doors on escape routes in Cheshire?
Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 the responsible person for the premises must make sure escape routes work and fire safety equipment is maintained. Automatic doors on an escape route need fail-safe opening or break-out, set by the fire strategy.
