Automatic Door Installers

How it works

The same clear steps for a single accessible door operator or a complete entrance.

  1. Tell us about the door

Send the postcode, a photo of the doorway if you have one and what the door needs to do. The guide price tool gives a range straight away.

  2. Free site survey

An engineer measures the opening, checks the structure, power, floor and traffic, and talks through options and any accessibility or escape route needs.

  3. Fixed written quote

You receive an itemised quote with the door specification, safety devices, lead time and warranty terms. Nothing starts until you accept it.

  4. Install, test and hand over

The door is fitted, set up, safety-tested and handed over with the paperwork, user guidance and a recommended service interval.

Before the survey

Send the postcode, what the door needs to do and, if you can, photographs of the doorway from both sides. For an existing automatic door, a photo of the operator cover above the door helps us identify it.

The guide price tool gives you a range straight away, so you know roughly where you stand before anyone visits.

At the survey

For new doors, retrofits, upgrades and home door openers the survey is free. The engineer measures the opening and checks:

  • the structure above and beside the opening, and what the operator and track can be fixed to
  • the floor, thresholds, drainage and any slope on the approach
  • power supply and where a fused spur can go
  • how many people use the door, who they are and which way they come from
  • whether the door is on an escape route, linked to a fire alarm or needs to be secure out of hours
  • accessibility needs: push pads, reach, clear opening width and opening speed

Your written quote

The quote is fixed and itemised: door or operator, safety sensors, activation devices, any building or electrical work, lead time and warranty terms. If something can only be confirmed once work starts, the quote says so and explains how any change would be priced. Nothing starts until you accept in writing.

Installation and handover

Most operator retrofits are fitted in a day. Complete door sets usually take one to three days on site, depending on the size and any building work. Before handover the door is set up for the people who use it, its safety devices are tested and the results are recorded.

You receive the handover paperwork, guidance for daily checks, and a recommended service interval.

Repairs, servicing and inspections

These are paid visits. We agree the visit price in writing before an engineer attends. If parts or further work are needed, we quote them before doing them, unless you have told us in advance to go ahead up to an agreed amount.

Next step

Tell us about the doorway

Send the address, a photo if you have one and what the door needs to do. New installations get a free site survey and a fixed written quote; repairs and servicing are priced in writing before we attend.
