Coverage across County Tyrone

Not every part of County Tyrone is easy to reach, and some sites need planning around access, parking or opening hours. We take that into account when arranging hermetic sliding doors, and the engineer, working under our management, arrives with what the job is likely to need. The towns below, 4 in all, each have their own page, but any address in the area can be covered.

What to think about for hermetic sliding doors in County Tyrone

  • Theatre doors in County Tyrone can usually only be replaced during a planned shutdown. Agree the dates with the theatre team early, as the door is made to order and the room needs cleaning and validation after installation.
  • The floor must be flat and continuous through the opening. Welded vinyl or resin floors should be completed or repaired before the door is fitted, so the bottom seal meets a true surface.
  • Pharmacy aseptic units in County Tyrone may want doors that follow the colour coding of their clean zones. Leaf finishes can be chosen in a different colour for each grade of room.
  • Seals are consumable parts. Budget for regular inspection and replacement in the planned maintenance programme for each theatre or cleanroom, with visit prices agreed in writing.
  • Interlocked doors need clear logic. Decide with your engineers which door has priority, how staff override the interlock in an emergency and what the status lights should show.

Standards and rules in Northern Ireland

BS EN 16005 is the current standard for the safety in use of powered pedestrian doors, and BS 7036-0:2014 is the British code of practice for risk assessment and risk reduction used alongside it. Standards are not law in themselves, but they are the recognised benchmark for showing an automatic door is safe to use, and we set up, test and document doors with reference to them.

In Northern Ireland machinery, including a new or converted powered door, carries the CE marking (with UKNI added where a UK body carried out the conformity assessment), and the EU Machinery Regulation applies there from 20 January 2027. Workplace law (the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1993) expects powered doors to have suitable and effective features to stop them trapping anyone and, where needed for safety, to open by hand unless they open automatically if the power fails. Doors at work must also be kept in efficient working order under a suitable system of maintenance.

Glass in and beside doors must limit the risk of injury where people could walk into it, and clear glass must incorporate features that make it apparent (Building Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2012, Part V).

How it works

  1. Send photos and the address. A few pictures of the door from both sides, the address in County Tyrone and a note of who uses the entrance help us understand the job before anyone visits the site.
  2. No-cost survey on site. We arrange a survey at a time that suits the building. The engineer records measurements, fixings and power, plus any constraints such as listed status, opening hours or access for deliveries.
  3. Itemised quote to approve. We price every element of the work on hermetic sliding doors separately in a written quote that you can check, share and approve. Lead time and payment stages are stated, and nothing is ordered until you accept.
  4. Fit, test and hand over. On the agreed dates the engineer installs the equipment, commissions the operator and tests each safety function. You get a demonstration, the test record and any conformity paperwork that applies to the work.

Send us the room type, opening size and any specification you have, and we will arrange a free survey in County Tyrone for a hermetic sliding door.

Hermetic sliding doors in County Tyrone: questions

Can you supply lead-lined hermetic doors in County Tyrone?

Yes. Lead-lined leaves and frames are made to the lead equivalence your radiation protection adviser specifies, with the same seals, finishes and touch-free activation as other hermetic doors. The extra weight is allowed for in the operator and the fixings.

Is there a guide price for hermetic sliding doors in County Tyrone?

Our guide starts from £8,995 excluding VAT (per door), the same guide price we use across the UK. The free site survey in County Tyrone confirms the price as a fixed, itemised written quote, and the guide price tool gives you a range before anyone visits.

How long will the room in County Tyrone be out of use?

Installing a single hermetic door usually takes one to two days on site, plus time for your own cleaning and validation afterwards. Larger doors, lead-lined doors or interlocked pairs take longer. The door is typically 6 to 10 weeks from order, so we agree dates with you well in advance.

Will the hermetic door in County Tyrone link to our building management system?

It can. The operator can send door status to the building management system and receive signals from it, as well as from the fire alarm and access control. The interface is agreed with your controls contractor and shown in the quote, so responsibilities are clear.

How much disruption should we expect while the work is done in County Tyrone?

Most installations take one visit or a short series of visits, with dust and noise kept to the area around the door. The engineer screens off the work area, keeps a route in or out where possible and clears up before leaving. Larger entrances, lobbies or structural changes take longer, and the quote explains how that work is phased.

What happens to the old door when a new one is fitted in County Tyrone?

If the work replaces an existing door, frame or operator, removal and disposal are listed in the quote. The old door comes out only when the new one is ready to go in, so the opening is not left empty for longer than necessary. Making good to the surrounding wall, floor or ceiling is included where the quote says so.

Which marking should a new automatic door in County Tyrone carry?

In Northern Ireland machinery carries the CE marking, with UKNI added where a UK body carried out the conformity assessment. The EU Machinery Regulation applies in Northern Ireland from 20 January 2027.
