Covering Prestatyn and nearby
Homes, businesses and public buildings throughout the LL19 postcode district can arrange hermetic sliding doors with us. We are the contracting party and organise every visit; the engineer, who works under our management, travels in to Prestatyn for the job rather than working from premises in town.
GP surgeries, dental practices and pharmacies in Prestatyn often serve older patients and people with limited mobility. A low-energy swing operator, or a gentle sliding door with a push pad, can make a real difference at entrances like these.
Nearby towns we also list for hermetic sliding doors (straight-line distance): Rhyl (3.7 miles), Abergele (8.1 miles), Moreton (12.8 miles), Heswall (12.9 miles), Flint (13.1 miles), Colwyn Bay (13.5 miles).
What to think about for hermetic sliding doors in Prestatyn
- Seals are consumable parts. Budget for regular inspection and replacement in the planned maintenance programme for each theatre or cleanroom, with visit prices agreed in writing.
- The floor must be flat and continuous through the opening. Welded vinyl or resin floors should be completed or repaired before the door is fitted, so the bottom seal meets a true surface.
- Imaging rooms in Prestatyn need the lead equivalence confirmed by a radiation protection adviser. The lead lining adds weight, which affects the choice of operator and frame.
- Interlocked doors need clear logic. Decide with your engineers which door has priority, how staff override the interlock in an emergency and what the status lights should show.
- Pharmacy aseptic units in Prestatyn may want doors that follow the colour coding of their clean zones. Leaf finishes can be chosen in a different colour for each grade of room.

Standards and rules in Wales
Glass in and beside doors must be safety glass or protected where people could walk into it, and clear glass needs markings so people can see it (Approved Document K, as published by the Welsh Government).
BS EN 16005 is the current standard for the safety in use of powered pedestrian doors, and BS 7036-0:2014 is the British code of practice for risk assessment and risk reduction used alongside it. Standards are not law in themselves, but they are the recognised benchmark for showing an automatic door is safe to use, and we set up, test and document doors with reference to them.
How it works
- Get in touch. Call, email or use the form with the address and what you have in mind. If you are not sure which type of door suits, describe the entrance and we will suggest the options worth considering.
- Survey and advice. The survey costs nothing and carries no obligation. The engineer checks the site and explains which options suit the entrance, the people using it and the budget, before anything is priced.
- Quote in writing. You receive a fixed, itemised quote for hermetic sliding doors in Prestatyn, covering equipment, installation, testing and handover, with the lead time and payment stages set out clearly.
- Install, test, explain. The engineer installs and commissions the door, tests the sensors, safety functions and emergency behaviour, and walks you through the controls. The handover pack records what was installed and tested.
For hermetic sliding doors that seal properly and clean easily, talk to us about your site in Prestatyn. There is no obligation.
Hermetic sliding doors in Prestatyn: questions
Do you install hermetic sliding doors in Prestatyn?
Yes. We arrange hermetic doors for hospitals, clinics, laboratories, pharmacies and production sites in Prestatyn and across Clwyd. Specialist automatic door engineers working under our management survey, install and commission the doors, and we remain the contracting party responsible for the work and the paperwork.
How much should I budget for hermetic sliding doors in Prestatyn?
Our guide starts from £8,995 excluding VAT (per door), the same guide price we use across the UK. The free site survey in Prestatyn confirms the price as a fixed, itemised written quote, and the guide price tool gives you a range before anyone visits.
Is the survey for a hermetic door in Prestatyn free?
Yes, for a new hermetic door the survey is free and there is no obligation. We measure the opening, check the wall and floor, discuss seals, finishes, activation and interlocks with your team, then send drawings and a fixed, itemised written quote.
Who maintains hermetic doors in Prestatyn once fitted?
We can, through planned servicing with each visit priced in writing before an engineer attends. Seals, sensors and interlocks need regular checks, and a trained engineer should test the safety functions at least once a year. Many theatres and cleanrooms schedule more frequent checks as part of their own maintenance programme.
What should I send before the survey in Prestatyn?
A few photos of the door from inside and outside, rough measurements of the opening, the address and a note of how the entrance is used. If the door already has an operator, a photo of any label on it helps. With that, the engineer arrives prepared, the survey takes less of your time and we can put the quote for hermetic sliding doors together more easily.
What does the free site survey in Prestatyn involve?
An engineer working under our management visits the building, measures the opening, checks the frame, floor, head height and power supply, and looks at how people use the entrance. The survey is free and carries no obligation. Afterwards you receive a fixed, itemised written quote for hermetic sliding doors, with drawings where the door type needs them.
Who is responsible for automatic doors on escape routes in Prestatyn?
The responsible person under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. Automatic doors on an escape route need fail-safe opening or break-out, and sliding or revolving doors must not be used for exits specifically intended as emergency exits.
